As our "Locally Produced" goat cheese business continues to grow and develop we, here at Goddard Farm, welcome Kerry Comiskey, Lawrence, Kansas, to our team. Kerry is a 2009 graduate of Kansas University. Kerry is responsible for Marketing and Distributrion and will parallel these duties with an internship learning every aspect of goat husbandry and cheese making. She is our idea person in charge of product development, excploring new recipes, etc. Her area of responsibility also includes in-store vendor showcase presentations, and keeping the web site and Facebook page updated as well as co-moderating Basiccheesemaking@yahoogroups.com
Other responsibilities include assisting with develop of power point presentations about cheese making, Micro-goat dairy development, and goat husbandry

IN A GRADE A DAIRY SANITATION IS THE NUMBER ONE PRIORITY. KERRY IS FILLING THE FLUSH VAT WITH HOT WATER AND DETERGENT TO WASH THE C.I.P. PIPELINE SYSTEM AFTER MORNING MILKING

KERRY IS HELPING SUE TRIM HOOVES ON DRY YEARLING DOES. HOOF CARE IS IMPORTANT. THESE DOES WILL BE BRED AT 16 TO 18 MONTHS OF AGE AND ADDED TO THE MILKING HERD WHEN THEY FRESHEN AS 2-YEAR-OLDS.
Kerry Comiskey is celebrating her first year with our team, September 12th., 2013. She is in charge of sales, marketing, & distribution, and vendor showcase events. Kerry also enjoys working with the goats in the parlor, making cheese, and helping with herd management. Here Kerry is trimming hooves in 90*F and high humidity. The blond doe is Goddard Farm Babingka, daughter of Goddard Farm Raspberry, 3*M, ADGA Top Ten 209, 210, & 2012. Babingka is a sister to Misty, ADGA No. 1, Top Ten 2012 Nubian Breed Leader. Babingka & her litter sister, Babingkinita, both dry yearlings, will be bred this fall for spring 2014 freshening. During the past year Kerry has trained to do about every task on the farm including late night assisting on "birth watch," tattooing kids, building fence & transporting kids to the airport to be shipped. She is truly an all-around team member. We are very proud of her.
